We are CAA registered FPV and aerial drone pilots. We film across Essex for estate agents, developers, venues, event teams and agencies. One crew plans the shoot, flies it and edits it, so you deal with the same people from the first call to the final file.
Essex builds and sells more property than almost anywhere outside the capital. New estates go up around Chelmsford and Colchester. Warehouses and units line the A12 and the A13. The commuter belt through Brentwood, Harlow and Basildon never sits still. All of it has to be marketed, and most of it gets sold on a set of photos that leaves buyers guessing.
A photo shows a room. It does not show how the rooms join up, where the light comes from, or what the place feels like to walk through. FPV fixes that. One flight moves from the front door to the last room without a cut, so a buyer reads the layout in thirty seconds. Add a wide shot from above and they also see where the property sits: the plot, the road, the estuary, the green belt behind it.

One honest note. FPV does not suit every property. Small units and heavily divided spaces often work better with photos and one shot from above. We will say so at the survey rather than sell you a format that adds nothing to the listing.

So we plan it first. We walk the space, study the floor plan, mark the tight spots and time the flight against how the room should read on screen. Then we fly it. Our drones have guards around the props, which means we can fly close to people and fittings without clearing the room. Warehouses off the A13, showrooms, gyms, hotels, leisure venues: they all stay open while we work.

Filming is timed around your schedule, so the size, the atmosphere and the key moments all get covered without cutting across the event. From setup and arrivals to the main act, we work next to your organisers so the right shot is in the air at the right time.
The best drone shot is not always the fastest one. Plenty of briefs want slower, steady movement that builds mood and shows scale. Essex gives that plenty to work with: the estuary and the coast road, the marshes, open farmland in the north, a single building sitting in its own grounds. The right framing lets the shot add weight without pulling focus off the subject.

Most bigger shoots use both. A traditional pass for the wide shots, FPV for anything that has to move through a space. Where that line falls is settled on the first call, not worked out on the day.

Essex is a short run from us, and it is a location in its own right. Plenty of London productions shoot here for the coast, the marshes, the industrial sites and the period towns. Whether the job comes out of the capital or starts in the county, the footage comes back ready to cut.
For higher-end briefs we fly cinelifter rigs carrying RED or Blackmagic cameras. That matters when the aerial has to cut straight into ground footage shot on the same system.
Most of the trouble on set comes from a crew not knowing what a drone unit needs. We have that conversation before the day, not on it. If the job runs into post as well, our video editing and post-production team can take it through to a finished cut.

The same flight that captures a fly-through also gives you a set of high-resolution frames, so there is no second visit to pay for. The exception is press and editorial work, where one strong still is the whole job.

Stills come from the same visit as the FPV or drone video. If the job also needs ground-level photography to finish the set, our photography and ground filming team covers it. You get the RAW files alongside the edited selects, so your designers are not waiting on us.
Motorsport briefs want two things from one shoot. A tracking shot that stays with the car at speed, and a wider pass that sets the track or shows off the vehicle. FPV does the first. A traditional drone does the second. We settle the balance in planning, not trackside.

Where we work
The work changes as you move across the county. Around Basildon, Thurrock and the A13 it is mostly commercial: warehouses, distribution sites and industrial units that only make sense from the air. Chelmsford, Brentwood and Colchester lean towards property, new build and business parks. Down on the coast at Southend and Clacton it is tourism, events and seafront schemes. North of Braintree it turns rural, and the briefs turn to estates, farmland and country property.
We are based just over the border, so Essex is a short run along the A12, M11 or M25. That keeps travel costs low and gets us to site quickly when a date is tight. Travel is always priced up front, so there is nothing to argue about after the shoot.
Indoor FPV filming is self-contained, which means the location makes no difference to the shoot itself. For outdoor work the variable is airspace, not distance, and we sort that in advance. We also cover drone services in London for jobs that run across both.

Essex airspace takes real planning. Stansted's controlled zone reaches across the west of the county. Southend Airport shapes the air along the estuary. The approach lanes in between affect what can be flown and where, and the whole county sits under the London TMA. So every job starts the same way: a full flight plan, a NOTAM check for the date and the site, and a risk assessment written for that location. Where the site or the airspace needs it, we get the permissions and speak to air traffic control, the airfield or the landowner before we fly. We have worked inside Heathrow's flight restriction zone on the England Lionesses return campaign at Thornbury Park, dealing directly with NATS, Heathrow and the Metropolitan Police. A restricted zone in Essex is something we plan for, not something we hope works out.

Yes. We are a CAA-registered operator with an A2 Certificate of Competency and the GVC. We carry £10 million of public liability cover through Moonrock, the specialist aviation insurer. That covers commercial work right across Essex, including the controlled airspace around Stansted and the Southend approaches. Every booking comes with its own risk assessment for the site, plus waiver forms wherever the public are present.
Yes. Much of west Essex sits under Stansted's controlled zone, and Southend Airport shapes the air along the estuary, so a lot of shoots here need airspace clearance rather than a straightforward flight. That is normal for us. We have flown inside Heathrow's flight restriction zone on live campaigns, working with NATS, the airport and the police. A restricted zone job in Essex gets planned properly rather than left to chance.

We have flown fly-throughs at Anytime Fitness, the Gamesys office and Camden Goods Yard with people in the room the whole time.
